Case Study #5

Corporate Giving Data Transformation

Overview:

A philanthropic foundation supporting community health initiatives needed a more efficient way to report on over a decade of corporate giving and grantmaking activity. The current data was fragmented across hundreds of folders and Word documents, making insights difficult to access and reporting inconsistent.

Challenges:

Resolution:

End-to-end development of a Corporate Giving Activity Power BI Dashboard by aligning cross-functional teams—including SharePoint, analytics, and data visualization—with the strategic goals of the foundation. He defined the project scope, drafted the dashboard layout, recommended visual elements, and communicated user experience needs to ensure the platform served internal reporting functions and executive storytelling. He secured project prioritization by presenting a strong business case to leadership and ensured smooth adoption by training the team post-launch. The completed dashboard now consolidates more than $10 million in giving history across 15,000+ line items into a single, dynamic platform. It enables real-time reporting on grants, sponsorships, and community investments—delivering clarity, efficiency, and strategic insight.
